Publication Ethics and Editorial Policy
The publication ethics policy of the Journal for Veterinary Medicine, Biotechnology and Biosafety is developed in accordance with the Recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We adhere to high standards of academic integrity and require the same from all participants in the process.
Ethical Obligations of the Editorial Board
The Editorial Board consists of leading domestic and foreign scientists — recognized experts in the field of veterinary medicine and related sciences.
- Objectivity: Manuscript evaluation is based solely on scientific merit, regardless of the authors' race, gender, religious, or political views.
- Confidentiality: The editorial office does not disclose information about the manuscript to anyone other than those involved in professional peer review.
- Anti-plagiarism: The editorial office rejects articles in case of detected plagiarism, falsification, or redundant (dual) submission.
The editorial office reserves the right to reject manuscripts without review if:
- the text uniqueness is less than 80%;
- the author is affiliated with an institution of an aggressor state or a state sponsor of terrorism;
- the research is funded by organizations of such states;
- the text contains calls for human rights violations or terrorism.
Ethical Obligations of Authors
Authors bear personal responsibility for the content of the provided materials:
- Originality: Results must be original. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
- Authorship: Only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research should be listed as co-authors.
- No duplication: The article must not be under consideration by other publications or have been published previously.
- Funding transparency: Authors are obliged to indicate the sources of financial support for the research.
Ethical Obligations of Reviewers
A reviewer conducts an independent scientific expert evaluation, adhering to the following rules:
- Confidentiality: The manuscript is a confidential document.
- Impartiality: Comments must be reasoned. Personal criticism of the author is prohibited.
- Conflict of interest: A reviewer must decline the task if a conflict of interest exists with the author or organization.
Publisher's Responsibilities
The publisher supports the editorial office in considering claims regarding ethical aspects, facilitates the retraction of articles in case of detected violations, and guarantees that the journal's activity is not a commercial project.
